Industrious

Artists, designers, and architects at Cranbrook Academy of Art work with tremendous diligence, concentration and imagination in a sequestered environment. However, they come to Cranbrook having had varied experience in the world and having chosen the opportunity to create within relative isolation.  Industrious is an exploration of the work, based in "real world" concerns and questions, created in this rather "other-worldly" place.

Artists included:
Andrea cardinal
Brian Widmaier
Terry Conrad
Sarah Wallace Scott
Quynh Vantu
Kelly Frank
Megan Heeres
Carrie Fonder
Tim Eads
Corrie Baldauf

this and there, somewhere

Perpetual now.  Fluid now… fluid everything. Entities of fluid energy forged in the furnace of a star called the sun. Included within all of this fluid time and matter are the entities of energy of us. Everything and us, anxiously working, attempting to establish solidity. So let us now entertain this notion of established solidity, and begin a dialogue about art, on a wall, in a gallery, within a city on a map in America.
